We held a community education class — and earned $2,000 for the Newberry Fire Department!

At Treweek Insurance, our mission has always included giving back, because we recognize building a stronger community is something that benefits us all.

Safeco Insurance recognizes that, too — and we’re honored to be one of the agencies who participated in the 2016 Protecting What Matters program!

To earn the donation for the Newberry Fire Department, we held driver’s education classes for new drivers during the spring semester. Kevin Griffin led the classes in which students learned basic driving skills to help them become safe and responsible drivers.

On August 9, 2016 we presented the donation check to the Newberry Fire Department. “On behalf of Safeco Insurance, we’re pleased to have had the opportunity to sponsor this class and help individuals and families protect what matters,” said Tim Treweek and Kevin Griffin of Treweek Insurance Agency. “We’re proud of our partnership with the Newberry Fire Department in providing this important safety-related information.”

Thank you to everyone who attended the class to make it a meaningful day of learning. Special thanks to the Newberry Fire Department for their help to educate young drivers on the importance of safe driving.

We’re proud to call Greater Gainesville and Alachua County home, and we’re committed to protecting what matters here!
